Name: Cory Fernandez
Nationality: Puerto Rican/American (New York City)
Bio: Donned as the “Young Veteran,” Cory Fernandez is one of the fastest rising stars in comedy today. In 2004 Cory Fernandez made his debut television appearance as a finalist on the second season of BET’s “Coming to the Stage” with comedians Kim Coles and Bruce Bruce [Kevin Hart was one of his celebrity judges!]. Three years later Cory went on to become the first Puerto Rican comedian on Russell Simmons’ Def Comedy Jam. In 2009 he was a feature performer on Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham”. Cory is also an accomplished actor making his big screen debut with roles in “Don’t Let Me Drown” starring Ricardo Chivera of “Desperate Housewives” and “Cop Out” starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan. Cory has also been seen on the small screen with his appearance on hit show “Orange is the New Black”. Cory currently lives in his hometown, New York City, and continues to perform at comedy clubs and colleges across the country.

Name: Dave Merheje
Nationality: Lebanese/Canadian (Toronto)
Bio: Born in Windsor, Ontario, Dave Merheje found a love for comedy at a young age and started performing in Detroit. Now living in Toronto, Dave’s comedy style has been described as aggressive in-your-face funny. Dave has gained a following with his “no fear” approach on stage, with enthralling story telling, and has even produced his own series of comedy shows called the “We Ain’t Terrorists Comedy Tour”. The past few years have been memorable for Merheje, with multiple appearances at the world-renowned Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. In 2012 his performances included stops at Moncton’s Hubcap Comedy Festival and the Ha!ifax ComedyFest. His comedic abilities were put to full use as an on-air contributor on Canada’s MTV Live and as a finalist in NBC’s Stand-up for Diversity search for multicultural talent across North America. Dave shares his unique vision and life experiences from the stage, with an improvisational, high energy style. He possesses uncanny ability to take you on a wild comedic journey that leaves you bursting with laughter, which is what has gained him such a loyal following. He gives you an arithmetic interpretation of urbanized life delivering one of the most original acts emerging in Canada.

Name: Trixx
Nationality: Ghanaian/Canadian (Toronto)
Bio: It’s no secret that Trixx is known more for comedy than controversy, always hitting the stage with big laughs, leaving the audience wanting more. A finalist in The Great Canadian Laugh-Off, this performer has proven time and again that he’s not only funny, but also insightful and multi-talented. As one of Canada’s next generation of up and coming comedians, TRIXX has developed quite a following via the college circuit, corporate and concert events, and comedy clubs across the nation. A naturally gifted entertainer, TRIXX has been blessed with the enviable talent of being able to connect with his audience, regardless of race, age or gender. As a regular on (Canada) Much Music’s “Video On Trial” and “Stars Gone Wild”, he has opened for Russell Peters (NY Comedy Festival), Cedric the Entertainer (Original King of Comedy), Mike Epps, Aries Spears (of MadTV Fame) and Sugar Sammy (HBO Canada), Tracy Morgan (30 Rock), and is a favorite at the Nubian Disciples of Comedy, hosted by Kenny Robinson. An avid student of pop culture and observer of life; TRIXX offers his unique, fresh and witty perspective, from relationships to race relations, and the hard truths of day-to-day life.

Name: Clayton English
Nationality: African-American (Atlanta)
Bio: Clayton English is best known for his roles as Peanut on Tyler Perry’s House of Payne as well as Terrence from the film The Preacher’s Kid and Johnathan in Five Days in the A. English started making waves in the comedy business with his stand out performances on BET’s Hell Date and TV ONE’s Bill Bellamy’s Who’s Got Jokes. His talent is not limited to the big and small screen. His stand-up routine has taken him from Atlanta to London to multiple appearances with MRSOE! in Canada. His performance’s are not to be missed he is truly one of the rising new faces in comedy. Clayton is from Atlanta where his friends know him as the “Prime Minister of Atlantsterdam.”

Name: Neil Bansil
Nationality: Filipino/Canadian/American (Charleston)
Bio: Neil Bansil has performed in a variety of venues in Canada and the U.S. He is the creator and producer of “MRSOE! – The Most RACES Show on Earth!” as well as the owner of What’s Really Good? Productions – producers of the best culture based stand-up comedy shows. Neil has a degree in English from York University and a post-graduate certificate in Comedy: Writing and Performance from the Humber School of Comedy, making him virtually unemployable. Born and raised in Toronto, Neil now makes his home in Charleston, SC, joining the 10 to 20 other Filipino people who also live there. Locally, Neil has launched and performed shows at various venues in Charleston, including Theatre99, American Theatre and The Sparrow.
